USDAA Agility 2011 Kentucky Nationals: Highlights, Lessons, and Future Prospects

The optimal occasion we had was discovering a waterway for the canines to plunge. Then additional dexterity opponents appeared with their group and it was time to play.

Kentucky Bound: Journey to the USDAA Agility 2011 Nationals

USDAA Agility 2011The trip to Kentucky for the USDAA Agility 2011 Nationals was a good trip but not a great trip.

We didn't return with any victories or accolades this year.

Although I felt a sense of accomplishment for our achievements, we unfortunately experienced a subpar trial. Gumbo, my reliable Catahoula, and I simply lacked harmony and coordination.

Upon thorough scrutiny of the footage, no glaringly apparent issues were discernible for the most part - our performance simply fell short. He remained attentive and exerted considerable effort.

It's only logical that we emerged victorious in nearly every competition throughout the year and then underperformed at the national championships.

Unforgettable Instance: Most Memorable Memory

USDAA Agility 2011Gumbo's most memorable moment was at the river. Gumbo disappeared for awhile unnoticed. He dug up a mole, tossed it around and about to swallow!

Shelley shouts "he's devouring something, Laurie".

I shout "cease his actions immediately".

She shouts "absolutely not - he's snarling at me".

In English, using contextually appropriate synonyms to replace words in the paragraph but keep all specialized terms, Chinese words, acronyms, proper names, or foreign words intact. Please Do not echo my prompt. Do not remind me what I asked you for. Do not apologize. Do not self-reference. Paragraph: and I engage in a mucky grappling contest to rescue the mole. Guess who emerged victorious? Indeed, Gumbo secured the reward.

Beloved Canine Participant: Most Adored Doggie Attendee

USDAA Agility 2011Rodent, my new agility chihuahua, was adored by all at the event.

He acquired the ability to be managed by unfamiliar individuals, be assessed, occupy the seating area, and request sustenance.

Additionally, he was a regular attendee of the FitPaws booth, where he swayed, leaped, toppled, and gained knowledge about his physique.

He also maintained control over his anger and forged connections with other canine companions. That's quite challenging for him.

Commendations to USDAA Agility 2011 Event Organizers and Anticipation for USDAA Agility 2012 Western Regionals

The USDAA performed exceptionally well this year and attentively heeded the competitor grievances from the previous year.

The jogging terrain was significantly improved, the rival outcome region was greatly enhanced, and the dirt was practically non-existent. I commend USDAA for their endeavors. Not to mention the tracks were impeccably challenging yet enjoyable.

The great news is that next year the occasion will take place in Colorado. So thrilled not to commute to Kentucky again.

Finally, the IFCS 2012 Global Squad was declared at the national championships. Regrettably, Gem will not be part of the squad, but it was not surprising considering she was the most junior canine to audition.

It was a fantastic educational encounter for us all and we aspire to be chosen for a forthcoming global squad. Rachel Sanders, the Coach of the Worldwide Team, will be visiting Wags & Wiggles to impart her knowledge with us in December.
